Based on a reimagined game of “tug of war”, Laetitia Hakim & Tarek Haddad attempt to reconcile distance and communication through a site-inspired performance. Conceived for the moving of the Takeover Beirut space up the same street, the artists tied at the two ends of a 21.5m rope – the exact distance between the two spaces – attempt to communicate together to create a piece while having to keep the rope extended at all times.
